Hey all, we thought it would be fun to look into what you all WOULD LIKE TO SEE on this blog when you come by. Though we have a few things coming soon.

Dorinda- "Recap"

Last night was an extremely powerful night. As the SMC choir took the choir stand, I instantly became anxious because I knew that it meant that Dorinda was soon to be performing. And since it was going to be my first time hearing her sing, I was all eyes & ears.

Then the next thing you know, the host goes back up to the stand and begins to announce our next guest. Saying that she is Detroit's own....Dorinda Clark Cole. And everyone stood to their feet and started screaming. First her background singers approached the pulpit and got their mics situated. Then she entered. As she took the pulpit, and the music started, everyone got into the song and soon as they realized it was "For The Rest Of My Life". She sang the song with so much grace and authority. And she couldnt even end the song. Every time they would try to end the song by saying "Myyyy Life", she kept going and said that it was hard for her to let the song go.

After the song finally ended, she first thanked the Pastor of the church for giving her the opportunity to be there and then thanked her friend, whom they were appreciating. When she asked every one to give him a hand, not many people clapped. And she was like "Give him hand. I knew I should have been first, ya'll acting like ya'll dont wanna move". And said that she was going to do one more song and get out of the way.

Next she sang "So Many Times" and tore the church UUUUUPPPPPP. Everything was on point. From the choir to the musicians. Then some how she got off into what to thank God for. How many of us take alot of things for granted. Saying how you needed to open your mouth and give God praise. Give him at least 15 minutes a day....just praising him. You never know when it will be your last time. And she mentioned how while she was driving over the water and almost drove herself off of the bridge, if it had not been for the voice of the Lord....

"He said if I keep my mind on him, he would keep me in PERFECT...."

Then she started singing "I'm Still Here" and began to walk around the congregation & passed out pink roses. And started ministering to the people and she even prayed for a few people while still passing out her roses. And when she eventually made her way back to pulpit, she said "If my mother was still here, she would sing it like this....."I'm Still Here...." then Dorinda stopped because the music was to loud and she said "Ya'll had the music to loud, they cant hear me. I said if my mother was still here, she would sing it like this...."


And when I tell you she sounded EXACTLY like Dr. Clark, WWWWWWWOOOOOOWWWWW. Amazed me. And then she finally stopped and started laughing and said "Ya'll I almost scared myself for a minute. Ya'll give my momma a hand". And everyone started cheering.

She finally then began to sing in her voice and ended the song.

Over the Weekend: "Re-Cap" Edition

Hey All!
Sorry I was not able to give re-caps at the time they were made- however, as some of you know, my birthday weekend was last weekend :) And I've been celebrating all weeks lawng lolol However, here are some recaps of some of the things that happend over the weekend:

J-Drew B-day Bash by alrford07

The night started at about 5:45 when I arrived I paid my $ 10 and got a (Red) stamp on my hand and they handed out meal tickets.. Then they told us they wasn't prepared to let us in the auditorium so we ended up standing in this very cramped spot for almost 2 HOURS .... Yeah i kno i kno they said 6pm but it didn't open till 8pm and yes my feet were hurting.....but then they let us in ..... into this decked out room standing room for the fans and supporters with seats for the family and special guest to the left of the room.....The had these little table like standing post .placed throughout the room to the right was a Giant Cake shaped in 3 different shapes 1 .Guitar 2. Drums and 3 Keyboard , They also had Ice sculted models for J.Drew and a Snicker Model for J.Drew of his face........

Okay .... The Host was comedian Anterell Mccoy he had me craking up then they Introduced Dollah Jones who performed 2 Songs ......and followed by that was The Bates they performed 3 Songs and did a great Job ......But the Highlight was Karen when she got up to perform .....She sang "Higher" ,, You Loved Me w/o Kiki but she did it , it was filled with scats riffs growls ..then she did her infamous echoes and it filled the room Karen was in great voice then she did some Scats she learned from Ella Fitzgerald then moved on to "living Testimony"

Then Intermission or Food Time as Karen , Pastor Sheard , Dorinda Jacky and other Family members was escorted to this private room So once I got in there they had about 5 tables ..... and Kierra , Angel and other Clark Kidz came in and we all ate and talked about random things such as Kierra's car , and Dorinda's Car... Then when I got done eating I came out of the room to talk to someone and they were also eating but in the room for the Sheards/Clarks and Moss we had greens,cornbread,beans,greenbeans,dressing/gravy, mac and cheese , candy yams, speghetti, ham honey , fried chicken and 4layer cake in vanilla and chocolate...

Now Part 2 started wit Kiki who came out and had us playin Simon Says cuz she was stalling for special guess Talib Kwali ... But i wasn't playing cuz my feet was hurting so i was jus sitting next to karen... laughing at kiki and her weight jokes..... then Talib arrived ... by the way KIKI paid for him to come for her brother .... he performed 2 songs at first he was only suppost to do 1 but .... he did 2 and left ..... then the crowd was yelling his name and kiki said "yall can stop chanting he ain't coming back" but he did and did another track.... 3 in total .... then he left again and everybody mostly boyz started chasing him but kiki said wait ima bout to sing .....she started singing random of the top freestyles from talib chords or bass line .... it was beautiful then she sang NO NEVER and asked Dorinda to sing and Dorinda started chopping it up till pieces and danced....By the way Karen danced also it was so cute..... .....back to kiki ,,,, eventually she settled to more churchy songz and caught the spirit and everyone was praising GOD by this time and Kierra had the audience singing .... w/o background ... Kierra had dressed real layed back u felt like she was at home with her mickey mouse shirt.....LOL ....

J.Drew finally performed 2 songs then did his Thank U's and DId another song which are all on his myspace page.. he had Terrell Carter help him with the song My Place and also Kierra .....they tore it up of course.....

The sisters where dressed really nice especially Dorinda who had some black leather boots with fur around them with about 5 inch clear stillettos heals and a all black dress and some high blond hair LOL she looked beautiful and about 30 yrs old .....

Finally the End ... unfortunately i was ready to go but i had to wait cuz Kierra asked me to watch her purse while she got ready .....then they passed out CD's and Candy to everyone and Kierra who car was in front a beautiful Range Rover 06 ....all white its beautiful .... but thats random .... thats pretty much the whole night LOL I tried

Twinkie In Florida mad by clark-lounger "lemon"

twinkie was here in gainesville tonight . i was sitting down and the people at my table started saying , she's here ; she's here. so i had looked-up and there she was wearing that infamous PINK DRESS. about 30 minutes later the lady started introducing Twinkie . ( i should have sneaked my tape recorder in , I'll probaly regret this the rest of my life ). after her intro of twinkie . twinkie and her five background singers came-up on the stage . the singers took thier place at the mics and twinkie took her place at the keyboards . she introduced herself and then ask the HOLY SPIRIT to come-on-in , and opened-up with A. " In Your Presence ". , if i never hear her sing that song again , twinkie put aomething STANK on that song . they sang it at lease 15 minutes or more. the SPIRIT was so high that twinkie went into the COGIC YES LORD PRAISE. the next selection was " Is My Living In Vain ". , twinkie made that keyboard say stuff that my ears have never heard. her background girl had done the karen part and brought down the ball room . when they finished with the song , it was my first time ever seeing people go in to a pure worship. Twinkie mad us laugh when she had said " is my coming all the way here to gainesville in vaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. man we just went in on that one. after that twinkie sang " I'm Looking For A Miracle " . then she started taking request , and " i Tried Him and I Know Him " . won-out. Last but not lease she sang " Jesus Brought The Sunshine " and she closed out .
