Dreamgirls: A MOVIE YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS CHRISTMAS!!

Well, we'd be here all day, if we went into what a random thought post is- where it came from, who made it, and where it was first seen and all that- so we'll just say THANK YOU to those who inspire the "random thoughts" posts- which is a post that is created discussing an "off topic" subject.
Well today's random Thought, will be directed towards the movie "Dreamgirls" and how AWESOME THIS MOVIE IS!!
Yea, you know the story :)- with Jamie Foxx, Beyonce, and Eddie Murphey, coming out this month on christmas? Well, I just wanted to tell you all about this movie !

First, a few of us know about the original Broadway musical-but for those who dont: Dreamgirls is an opera like urban musical that follows three girls from a small chicago talent show- to being the most famous and well known girl group of the 60's and 70's. It features songs and styles that was famous for African Americans, and people alike in the 60's and 70's and also sets a trend for the broadway world and entertainment alike in the early 80's to early 90's.
The cast was made up of a lot of well known names of today.

The first -on the well known reel- was talented Loretta Devine, known for her role as Gloria on Waiting to Exhale. Yea, she was thin way back then lol- She played LoRelle, and did a great job. Next was "Moesha's Mom", Sheryl Lee Ralph, known as a huge spokeswoman for AIDS prevention and awareness. Ms. Ralph played the diana ross like character: Deena, and delighted everyone who saw her PERFECT spin on the role. Next was thee belter- Jennifer Holiday. You've seen Jennifer open for shows like Ellen, and sing and act on other shows like Alley McBeal. SHE WAS the show stopper!! Her musical scenes stole the show and left people gasping for air, trying to find out what in the world made this 5'5 lady sing with such POWER!

.
The crew got together for a long workshop for the show, which went through a lot of revisions. A lot of rehearsals and a lot of character building took place within the workshops- but in Decemeber of 1981, the cast and crew were finally ready to put on their show.

Within the beginning of January, a hit was known across New York and the states abroad, and the entire cast was celebrated. Winning MANY Tony awards and other credits- the show was a now the best show on broadway- despite the show "Nine". Well, if you find some one who went to the play, you'll find that the person has NEVER forgotten the experience!!
One of those persons was Bill Condon, who was one of the persons to put the show to screen. There were so mamy people who helped put this show to screen we really cant go into it, but many, like shows original song writer, Henry Krieger, contributed to the screen adaption in a large way!

Now we have three ladies who KNOCK U OUT, with a powerful and sensational performance that will literally make you move from your seat and want to act like the whole thing is the actual broadway play (clapping and cheering for the actors as they glide and JAM across the screen.)

Ill be back on line a lil bit later to give yall Part 2 of the random thought- along with more information and things you'd like to know - b4 seeing this EXTRA- ORDINARY movie :) WANNA DO SOMETHING AFTER YOU OPEN YOUR PRESENTS THAT WONT BE ANTICLIMATIC? GO SEE DREAMGIRLS!!!
